We are seeking an Implementation Project Manager for a contract assignment implementing a new financial system.
Synapse
is a Corporate Program that will deliver improved management information, financial planning and consolidation capability across Reed Exhibitions.
To drive consistency across our Business Units worldwide, a common Chart of Accounts has been defined and respective Business Units will embed it into their Financial Systems. In addition a new Corporate Financial Consolidation tool and associated processes will be deployed. To support the non-financial data requirements of the new Management Information reporting tools, sales, event and other data will need to be extracted from existing systems. The changes will have a major impact on local systems, processes and reporting. However, there are both central benefits to this Program and local benefits that can be realized through changing existing working processes.
The 
Implementation Project Manager
will lead the implementation of respective changes in the Business Unit, to ensure they are delivered as planned, and the respective benefits are realized. 
Role Objective
To successfully project manage the implementation of Synapse (the common Chart of Accounts in PeopleSoft, migration to the new Hyperion reporting applications, extracting the non-Financial data, associated change management) by end of July 2009.
Specific Responsibilities
· Ensure the delivery of the agreed and defined products.
· Lead, encourage and manage the project team.
· Planning and monitoring on the project.
· Confirm agreement with any delegation or transfer of project assurance roles by the Project Board.
· Prepare and communicate the Project Initiation Document.
· Produce as required plans for the project, individual stages and exceptions with Team Managers and other key project personnel. Ensure that these are agreed by the Board.
· Assess, control and manage the risks to the project, prepare mitigation and contingency plans.
· Day to day consultation and liaison with the Program Team if the project is part of a program. In these circumstances responsibility for ensuring a good scope fit between the different projects (no overlap or gap).
· For overall progress and resource deployment, including initiating corrective action where required.
· Change control, variations and configuration management.
· Project Board reporting, i.e. End Stage and Highlight reports.
· Overall direction and integrity of the project, in consultation with Project Board and Project Assurance Team.
· Identification of lessons learned and production of the report for the board.
· Recommendation of follow-up actions to the Board.
· Production and presentation of the end of project report.
· To source appropriate mentoring, support and advice on any aspects of the project where this is required.
· Project administration and record keeping.
· Communications with suppliers and account managers.
Timing
The position is for 9 months with the potential to extend dependent upon project requirements. The start date is from the beginning of October.
This role will be to Project Manage the implementation of Synapse in the US and Canada , potentially extending the full Americas region. The Implementation Project Manager will be working closely with the central program management group.
· A high calibre individual with the ability to interface with senior management within a company
· Strong project management skills (qualified in respective Project Management methodology, e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, etc.)
· Significant experience with Finance systems, in particular PeopleSoft
· Experienced in Accounting practices, preferably a qualified accountant who has Project Managed finance change initiatives. Is capable of grasping and understanding finance issues - and explaining them to non-finance people. Particular emphasis on Business Reporting and embedding new GL coding structures (CoA etc.) in legacy accounting systems.
· Able to handle strategy level issues as well as having the ability to discuss technical issues with the functional work streams.
· Presents a credible face to the Business, in particular, is able to talk knowledgeably about the solution and issues faced today, and how the solution will address them.
· Experience of major systems implementations and/or business change projects involving multiple or single ERP&apos;s, organizational change and IT solution technologies.
· Excellent communication skills, able to present complex concepts in a simple and logical manner, can facilitate effective discussion around issues and extract business decisions.
· An enthusiastic advocate of positive business change.
· Strong team leadership skills, preferably supplemented with project management experience.
· Proficiency in organizing and facilitating workshop sessions.
· Ability to present results to an audience.
· Experienced in dealing with sensitive and demanding issues, able to provide decisive solutions in difficult situations.

Directing a combination of resources at HQ in Norwalk, CT in the global Tax operations teams   from outside consultants, the Sr. Manager of International tax Compliance   Reporting will oversee the maintenance of current   accurate financial information critical to international tax planning. Oversee the maintenance of current   accurate financial information critical to international tax planning including:
US   local tax basis of assets
Intercompany loan balances   associated legal interest accruals
Accuracy of all legal entity attributes in GOLD
Timeliness of all local statutory   tax filings reflected in e-Compliance system.
Ensure proper tax reporting of all international transactions on US tax returns
Ensure that worldwide tax expense   all tax balance sheet accounts are accurately reported as part of the quarter close process
Manage global preparation of all corporate information requests required to facilitate tax-planning initiatives, including:
Quarterly ITB templates used to calculate FTC capacity   Subpart F benefits
Quarterly analysis of all F/X gains   losses realized on intercompany loans
Quarterly analysis of gross income realized by Corp 001
Assist in the integration of new acquisitions to ensure that deferred tax assets   liabilities as required by FAS 109 have been established in purchase accounting
Review tax information used by FP A in planning sessions to ensure accuracy of tax projections
Develop standard FAS 109 template for quarterly reconciliation of tax accounts   build out GENPACT team to assist in reconciliation of all local   US shareholder tax accounts
Facilitate cooperation of Finance managers   local finance teams to address issues with recording of book income which impact the accuracy   integrity of the calculation of the tax provision
Manage team of reporting/compliance analysts

Job Requirements
Qualifications: 
Bachelor&apos;s degree in business-related field
A minimum of 5 years experience with Tax department of US accounting firm or US multinational corporation, with focus on tax accounting and compliance and development of tax systems and processes
Strong understanding of US international tax rules
Familiarity with tax accounting principles of FAS 109/FIN 48 and experience with conducting and supervising return-to-accrual reviews
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to design and execute large scale products in a complex environment
Experience directing, rewarding and developing work activities of tax professionalsYOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT

The Senior Accountant assists in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of JetBlueÃâs internal and external reporting by recording assigned financial activity and researching all types of transactions for accuracy.

-Primarily responsible for the accounting of $[URL Withheld] billion in revenue, including passenger revenue, frequent flier accounting, other revenue and marketing initiatives such as credit card business partner related programs, Pay Per View, etc.
-Responsible for monthly revenue related journal entries, including passenger revenue, credit shells, barters, credit card business partner revenue, gift cards, vouchers, Pay Per View, etc.
-Responsible for accounting for upcoming Code Share Alliance initiatives
-Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts, including air traffic liability on a monthly basis and resolves any reconciling items on a timely basis
-Prepare monthly revenue profit and loss reports
-Assists with revenue budget and forecasts variance analysis for assigned accounts
-Researches items of a technical nature to determine proper accounting and presentation
-Interprets new financing agreements/contracts for proper accounting treatment
-Ensures internal controls are effectively maintained for revenue related areas
-Assists with set up and tracking of revenue accounting for new marketing initiatives
-Assists with testing of new revenue systems and ensures accounting reports are available and accurate
-Special projects as assigned

Description Headquartered in Windsor, CT and with offices throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, SS C provides the global financial services industry with a broad range of highly specialized software, business process outsourcing (BPO) services and application service provider (ASP) solutions. We deliver mission-critical processing for information management, analysis, trading, accounting, reporting and compliance. Due to growth, we are looking for talented individuals with experience with some or all of the following: Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, Asset Management experience. The positions range from Staff Accountants to Management level. In this challenging position, you will perform investment accounting functions for clients with basic to moderately complex securities. Activities will include trade processing, cash and holdings reconciliation, variance analysis and research using Bloomberg, and assist in generating daily or monthly customer reports.Â Hours: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm 
Job Requirements
