General Information
Job Description
Work Smart. Live Better.

A neighborhood pharmacy. A community-based super-market. A valuable national resource. At Wal-Mart, we’re a lot of things to our customers, but we’re even more to our Associates. You see, as an Associate with the world’s largest retailer, you’ll impact more than just the store you work in. You’ll be empowered to leave your mark on an entire industry.

Whether it’s providing vital goods and services to your community or gaining a wealth of invaluable job experience, working as a Wal-Mart Associate will give you a sense of pride and stability that comes with knowing you’re a part of a world-wide team that’s 1.8 million strong. And with excellent opportunities for advancement, it’s no wonder over 75% of our current managers started off as hourly Associates. Maybe it’s time for you to realize what our customers have known for years. Wal-Mart is the smart choice – for living and working.

Your path begins as an Assistant Manager Trainee in our Leaders Out In Front program. During 8 weeks of classroom and in-store training, you will become familiar with all aspects of running a multi-million dollar business, including Leadership, Merchandising, Customer Service, Inventory, Profit/Loss, and Civic Responsibility. Upon graduation, you can be promoted to an Assistant Manager of a Wal-Mart Store, Super Center or Neighborhood Market, where you’ll gain the valuable hands-on management experience that will drive your future success.
