                        <description><![CDATA[Hebrew SeniorLife is more than you ever realized. We are an integrated seven-site system of housing, health care, research and teaching that has served thousands of seniors in the Greater Boston area for over 100 years.
Reporting to Hebrew Rehabilitation Center&apos;s (HRC) Chief Medical Officer and working closely with HRC&apos;s President, several Hebrew SeniorLife (\&quot;HSL\&quot;), and Hebrew Rehabilitation Center (\&quot;HRC\&quot;) Vice Presidents, the Administrative Director of the Department of Medicine will be responsible and accountable for all non-clinical activities within the Department of Medicine, as described below, of this multi-campus organization with an extensive continuum of services and diverse clinical venues. 
The Director will be expected to be an improvement strategist for both management and clinical services, and to be a leader, collaborator and diplomatic consensus builder. Extensive previous practice administration experience is expected to enable the Director to collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to lead a clinically diverse physician, mid-level practitioner and administrative staff to meet and exceed HSL&apos;s business, financial, clinical and quality objectives. The Director is expected to display the following personal experience and characteristics:
1.Knowledge of integrated healthcare delivery systems across broad continuums of care inclusive of acute, post-acute, long-term and outpatient clinical venues;
2.Financial skills including specific experience related to departmental budgeting, analysis, financial modeling, the Medicare&apos;s RVU system, and physician billing;
3.Strong systems and technology orientation with a proven track-record of achieving organizational objectives through benchmarking, target-setting, measurement, education and human resource development;
4.Experience in managing objectives and expectations within the context of an academic institution;
5.Ability to set priorities to manage multiple projects and organizational initiatives simultaneous in a complex organization;
6.Strong analytical and presentation skills, the ability to work with a team, a willingness to be flexible and to do whatever is necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Provide practice administration support and business leadership (under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer) to staff physicians, independently contracted physicians, NP&apos;s and PA&apos;s providing clinical care services across broad practice continuum; including:
a.Medicare certified long-term care acute hospital unit;
b.Skilled Nursing units;
c.Long-term care units; 
d.Out-patient and wellness programs; and,
e.Primary Care at Fireman, Satter, Center Communities of Brookline, Orchard Cove and NewBridge on the Charles.
2.Collaborate with physician leadership to create culture of partnership and trust in order to exceed Departmental strategic objectives developed annually;
3.Recruit and retain physician and mid-level staff as required to support all clinical service sites;
4.Participate in the management of the Geriatric Fellowship Program;
5.Support departmental CQI initiatives;
6.Support all correct coding initiatives, provide audit and compliance direction and participate on the HSL Compliance Committee;
7.Manage all internal contract negotiations related to independent physician and managed care contracting;
8.Support all technology, including charge-capture entry, credentialing, CPOE and EMR;
9.Manage payroll, AP, AR, Budgets and Productivity Models within the Department as well as all physician billing;
10.Collaborate, lead and motivate all administrative and managerial staff responsible for the day-to-day operations of the DOM.
Job Requirements:
Master&apos;s degree, with a minimum of five years related experience. Proven experience managing large numbers of professional staff, multiple budgets, physician billing systems, and working within complex academic organizations. Established track record of working within changing environments. MGMA certification highly preferred.

The right candidate for this position is Master&apos;s prepared and has grown through increasingly responsible levels of financial management, preferably in an outpatient physician practice environment. The CFO will have a track record of success in management. Although desirable, previous CFO experience is not essential. Keen analytical skill and understanding of more sophisticated financial management techniques are important for success in the role.
Most significant is the personal character and style of the new CFO. He or she must have a high level of professionalism, confidence and competence, thereby projecting true leadership credibility. Critically important is that this person be an unpretentious, hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves type who builds productive relationships with all levels in the organization. The ability to function effectively with physicians, the Board, the community, patients and their families, and as a member of several Partners-level committees is very important. The right candidate will bring a big-picture strategic vision to the position.

Job Description As the representative of the data management function, you will be responsible for leading/participating on teams in support of the project goals and objectives relating to Phase I and/or II IM/AI/GI compound(s). This will involve review of study Protocol, Case Report Forms (CRF), and Database Design. Included also is the supervision of the data management activities of CROs (or in-house), as applicable as well as SAE reconciliation. 
Specific responsibilities will include: 
 Managing the development of the Data Management Plan (DMP) based on contract/proposal/protocol and discussions with vendor and coordinating the review and approval of all DMP attachments. 
 Managing the development of the study Case Report Form (CRF) to be used for data collection. 
 Providing (or approving) the structure for the receipt of external electronic data and coordinating the integration and reconciliation process! that will be applied to all external electronic data. 
 Insuring data quality and consistency within the clinical data management infrastructure (includes data collection, data validation, data archiving, enforcing data standards and improving processes). 
 Providing leadership for key Data Management deliverables and ensuring the use of standard procedures and practices. 
 Providing ongoing Data Management support by ensuring the timely delivery of high quality data. 
 Assisting in the development of the database and study specific reports for each study. 
 Reviewing validation specification output and queries. 
 Providing data trend information to the project team on an ongoing basis including ideas for query reduction, entry quality and query resolution time. 
 Participating in ongoing review/reconciliation of electronic external data per DMP.
