Job Description: 
The Mission Assurance (MA) process engineer will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Mission Assurance processes and initiatives within Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) space and tactical programs. Ultimately, the MA process engineer will ensure proper integration of systems, functions, and processes within one or multiple programs to ensure customer and program success. Specific MA processes and initiatives include, but are not limited to: implementing enhanced program assessments, developing and executing MA related health and predictive metrics, assessing program requirements and requirements tailoring, conducting non-advocate reviews for both technical and programmatic issues and risks, and implementing enhanced risk and opportunity assessments. The MA process engineer will also infuse these processes and initiatives with data analysis and lessons learned from across RMS programs, functional groups, and areas of expertise. 
Specific areas of responsibility also include: assessing a program&apos;s systems engineering processes to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded. Evaluating test and flight predictions and analyses, design margins, and test processes to ensure RMS delivered products and services will be successful. Critically evaluating processes and designs to identify potential failure modes and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented. Ensuring failures and issues are properly investigated and appropriate corrective actions and recurrence control are executed. Independently evaluating risks and issues and associated mitigation plans. Performing assessments of major reviews and program readiness. Highlighting areas where \&quot;go\&quot; or \&quot;no go\&quot; recommendations are needed prior to the commitment of precious resources. Coordinating involvement of \&quot;subject matter experts\&quot; and / or the MA senior management as necessary. Ultimately, acting as a customer advocate and independent MA resource.
In addition, the MA process engineer will: identify systemic issues and risks applicable across programs and implement resolution and mitigation plans. Identify and apply lessons-learned across programs. Bring to light areas where the MA senior leadership must provide decisions on administrative and operational issues for the MA department. Partner with the MA senior leadership in developing objectives, business policies and mission assurance plans seen to enable division level strategies for competitive advantage. Be responsible for the results and effectiveness of a function considered to be of critical importance to long-term business success. 
Required Skills: 
Demonstrated leadership experience in a defense, aerospace, or related industry with design and production of critical products or services. Proven success in the management / oversight of engineering development programs or systems. Strong background in systems integration, systems engineering, and project development. Experience in the implementation of major failure investigations and associated recurrence control. Product development, integration, test and flight experience is a major plus. Effective in the implementation of non advocate reviews (NARs) to study sub-element failures through disciplined cause and effect analysis, thereby, characterizing potential impact to system level performance. Demonstrated ability to apply data driven decisions to execute sound business acumen. Outstanding background in the implementation and execution of Mission Assurance and contractual requirements. Motivated to find the \&quot;weak link\&quot; in any system, design, or process. Passionate about growing customer relationships by creating an attention-to-detail culture centered on mistake proofing critical processes and risk management. Highly experienced in balancing multiple stakeholder needs and driving necessary changes to ensure program success. Must maintain outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to motivate a very large employee community (note: this includes field site locations across the United States). Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. 
Desired Skills: DoD, NASA, FAA, or Nuclear Industry experience is a key discriminator. Existing Secret clearance highly desirable.
