Responsible for the centralized collection of past-due commercial loans in the portfolio. Also, responsible for identifying problem loans due to chronic delinquency or other information received in the collection process to the Manger. 
REGULAR DUTIES: 
Â· Contacts past due loan customers in accordance with established performance standards to make payment arrangements and determine the basis for the delinquency. Documents call results. 
Â· Coordinates customer contact with loan account officer in circumstances when conventional centralized collection methods do not achieve desired results. 
Â· Identifies past due accounts for which loan risk ratings should be reviewed for possible downgrade due to payment record or other information. Refers such accounts to Loan Control Coordinator or Manager for handling. 
Â· Identifies accounts in need of loan workout or term modification and refers same to Manager for expedited handling. 
Â· Refers loans with billing or payment posting problems to the appropriate banking office customer service personnel for assistance. 
Â· Communicates with other financial institutions and credit reporting agencies regarding credit information on borrowers. 
Â· Responsible for timely maintenance of the Online Collection System (OCS) to ensure all collection actions are documented on OCS accurately. Also, responsible for weekly reconciliation of OCS to host loan accounting systems. 
Â· Monitors TRW, NACM, Equifax   Dunn   Bradstreet warnings and bulletins. 
Â· On a weekly basis, monitors overdraft report. 
Â· On a quarterly basis, assists management with review of â6â and â7â rated credits for recommendation to upgrade or downgrade credits. 
Â· Introduction to more complex structured loans rather than typical loans defined by product type. 
Â· Tactfully handles customer complaints with an management as necessary. 
Â· Assists in the training of adjustors in policies and procedures. 
Â· All other duties as assigned by supervisor. 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
Â· High School Diploma or GED 
Â· 2 years experience in collections or customer service environment. 
REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: 
Â· Thorough understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software. 
Â· Understanding of PC/CRT applications.
