Our client is a leader in sustainable energy services and facility management. With headquarters in Boston, MA, our client has grown rapidly over the past two years, and has further plans for significant growth over the next five years through acquisitions and organic growth.
They have an immediate need for a Business Development Manager that will be responsible for identifying and developing long-term, integrated, energy services contracts and will lead the pursuit of new business opportunities by establishing strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Identify potential customers and develop relationships with key decision makers in the client organization in order to assess opportunities with the company
-Act as primary focal point with the client
-Manage and participate in proposal preparation, pricing and presentations to customers
-Formulate and write technical proposals reflecting the strategic approach towards developing a new project
-Lead negotiations with clients, including preparation of contracts and possible structuring of financing solutions
-Manage internal development activities including technical audits by development engineers
-Must serve as a close liaison with other members in the team (operations, finance, legal, insurance, risk management, etc.) throughout the entire sales process 
-Assess competitor strengths, weaknesses and strategic direction

- Work with the program manager and area managers to define the scope, time frames, and resource requirements for releases.
Management: Plan tasks, assign resources to the task, monitor and track progress and deliver the project according to prescribed standards within the specified schedule and budget. 
Management: Manage small to medium project teams of 6 -15 resources applying basic project management principles for development through deployment to include preparing detail project plans, tracking, reporting status and issues, and delegating. 
Management: Prepare a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) for medium size project engagements and participate in delivery assurance reviews to ensure adherence to our project management policies and procedures. 
Methodology: Use Catalyst phases, activities, and tasks as a basis for developing estimates and team plans. 
Business: Review high-level and detailed business process designs to the Elementary Business Process (EBP) level and Derived Logical Process (DLP) level for scope adherence. 
Technical: Assist in preparing the requirements, evaluating products, and selecting Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software (COTS). 
Relationship Management: Establish credibility at all levels within the client and build problem-solving partnerships with the client and colleagues. 
Leverage: Understand the sales process, its information and support requirements, and assist business developers in identifying or qualifying leads. 
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor&apos;s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
Five or more years of experience managing small to medium-sized projects of low to medium complexity

Job Description:
Provide leadership across IDS Product Solutions, to deliver Operational Excellence for our customers. As the subject matter lead, in Hardware Product Solutions, align the Toyota Production System and CMMITM principles to identify, develop, and enable critical business core processes to \&quot;best practice\&quot; level delivering superior results on our goal to improve world class performance through Operational Excellence.
