Job Description
Position Summary and Purpose - Engineering - Program ManagerParticipate in, and coordinate new program proposal and capture activities. Manage all cost, performance and schedule deliverable aspects of customer programs, from inception through completion. Foster growth oriented customer relationships by ensuring customer program success and Company profitability. Detailed Position Responsibilities and Critical Accountabilitiesâ¢ Key participant in pre-award strategy development and proposal activities. Coordinates preparation of proposals, program business plans, statements of work (SOWs), product and service specifications and budgets. Participates with key business development, engineering, production, finance, legal and other personnel to develop and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and negotiation of contract changes. â¢ After award, primary program interface with the customer and assures that customer expectations are consistently matched with contractual obligations throughout the program. Interfaces frequently with Customer personnel at all levels. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. â¢ Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Leads all program execution activities related to staff, schedule, budget, and performance. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of programs. Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Participate in subcontractor selection and management. Responsible for earned value and risk/opportunity management throughout the program. â¢ Coordinates with Engineering, Quality and Production managers to recruit, select and motivate effective program execution teams on assigned programs. Assures that contractual obligations are clearly defined and communicated to all members of the program team, and that program team members consistently meet individual and team obligations necessary to successful program execution. â¢ Participates in new business development and product line extension with the customer.Experience, Skills and Education Requiredâ¢ 5+ years of progressive program management experience and/or substantial engineering project engineering experience in the aerospace industry within an engineered products environment that requires significant product development and custom engineering prior to transition to production. Ability to clearly demonstrate risk/opportunity management experience and requirements analysis experience.â¢ Strong customer interface experience in contract driven environments with complex sets of deliverables.â¢ Business/program capture experience and/or technical sales and key account management experience â¢ Demonstrated ability to lead technical and cross-functional teams.â¢ Engineering or other appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The system deployment group charter includes project management, application development, remote system commissioning and documentation. It also encompasses a broad range of customer service tasks including training, problem diagnosis, new concept development and supplemental staffing. The leader of this team must collaborate with customers, customer agents (e.g. architects and engineers), other customer suppliers (e.g. monitoring service providers) and Teletrol internal staff to ensure our customers love doing business with us. 
The leader of the system engineering and deployment team reports to the president and will contribute to the continued development of Teletrol*s business strategy, product strategy, operating systems and culture. 
Specific responsibilities and required attributes are as follows:
Responsibilities
o Lead team of systems engineers and deployment technicians in fast-paced multi-site energy management system deployment 
o Provide exceptional support and management-level interface to high-value national account customers
o Establish, maintain and continuously improve procedures for effective energy management system deployment including project management and customer support
o Provide product management with business requirements relating to product features supporting faster, more cost-effective deployment as well as features relating to increased customer value delivery
o Consult with product management and development team on new product features and opportunities for exceeding customer expectations
o Provide support to multi-site sales team on issues relating to deployment and system engineering for maximum customer value
o Coordinate with Director of Field Operations to ensure efficient schedule integration between field installation staff and deployment team activities
o Coordinate with manufacturing and accounting teams to ensure smooth flow of material and timely invoicing
o Hire and train and review staff at both System Engineer and Deployment Technician levels
o Define and maintain metrics on team performance and customer satisfaction
o Prepare and manage annual plans and budgets
o Develop and nurture complementary component and service supplier relationships, as required

The Flight systems business area provides military and commercial aircraft modification and upgrades, aircraft operations, flight test, and aerial subscale and full-scale targets.This Manager III position is deputy to the Director of Hardware (HW) Engineering for the Sensor Systems (S2) Line of Business (LOB) within the Electronics, Intelligence   Support (EI S) Operating Group. The selected individual will assist the S2 Director of HW Engineering in the execution of the day-to-day HW engineering operations for a $1.2B LOB with approximately 450 electrical, mechanical and optical engineers and supporting HW engineering personnel. The S2 LOB is headquartered in Nashua, NH and includes six major business areas located across the U.S. The Deputy will be required to work out of an S2 site with routine travel required to all S2 sites. Responsibilities include general management, process development and monitoring, critical skills and resource management, expense management and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Will advise the Director of HW Engineering as appropriate and act for him in his absence. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Establish and enforce effective engineering processes and procedures.
