Responsibilities :
Develops an understanding of existing Lab processes and Instrumentations
Compose proposal for additional procedures enhancement, alteration, and functionality
Evaluate current and new instrument application, equipment and software, to identify possible analysis request
Support with the Quality Control laboratory
Close cooperation with lab coordinator to develops work plans and identifying technical needs and time schedules for routine, non-routine and projects.
Monitors progress and changes schedule and plan as needed
Performs method development for analytical procedures including writing method protocols and method development reports
Develops training manuals, and provides training to staff
Responds to analytical concern and makes necessary corrections and/or modifications to resolve problems
Prepare clear and concise written summaries of experimental results
Maintains a safe and organized working environment
Creates smaller unplanned analytical solutions/support as requested
Helps to coordinates the activities of assigned staff and prioritizes multiple projects
Participates, advises, and makes recommendations regarding the selection and procurement of future lab instrumentation and software needs
Support with maintain and troubleshooting of lab instrumentation /software problems

Three to five years full-time experience in analytical development

In-depth expertise and direct experience with modern instrument and computer application, program development, ASTM method
In-depth expertise and direct experience with troubleshooting and maintenance
Experience in developing large and complex laboratory projectÂ

Expertise and experience managing lab projects
Must be knowledgeable in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, chromatographic separations and analytical extraction techniques

Position Summary 
Scope: 
Under the general direction of H V Electrical Team Lead, U S the incumbent is a key resource directly supporting maintenance and operations in high voltage transmission and distribution substations and generation throughout the Horizon Project. 
Main Duties   Accountabilities: 
* Maintenance repair and replacement of high voltage substation equipment.
* Maintain and repair high voltage equipment on overhead and underground 34.5 Kv distribution (power transformers, distribution transformers, disconnect switches, power distribution centres, fuses, lighting and emergency generators).
* Operation and switching of high voltage equipment 260/72/34.5/13.8 Kv.
* Oil and gas sampling analysis
* Protective relay, metering testing and calibration.
* Equipment thermo scanning.
* Operation of electrical distribution management system.
* Equipment and system grounding.
* Equipment isolation, switching and voltage measurement.
* Cable testing and repair.
* Utilization of various electrical test equipment required to perform the above-mentioned duties.
* Provide expertise and leadership to electrical shift technicians when required.
* Provide technical expertise to assist in the resolution of power system issues.
* Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to operations.
* Write and maintain a database of safe work procedures as required.
* Effectively identify, evaluate and mitigate all hazards associated with working on or around electrical equipment.
* Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. 
Qualifications: 
* Power System Electrician Certificate or Electrical Journeyman Certificate.
* Electrical Engineering Technology diploma is an asset.
* Experience in trouble shooting and problem solving on in - service high voltage equipment.
* Experience on Omicron relay test sets is an asset.
* Well versed with computers systems/software required in the testing and calibration of high voltage equipment and control systems. 
* Proven aptitude for effectively evaluating situations and proven logical troubleshooting skills.
* Experience using various formats for electrical drawings and documentation associated with high voltage systems.
* Knowledge of aerial equipment required to perform duties on high voltage equipment.
* Comfortable using various test equipment utilized for testing TTR, Insulation Resistance AC and DC, Primary and Secondary Injection, Multimeter, Protective Relay Test Equipment, Dissipation Factor. DC Hipot, VLF, Oil insulation tester, Cable testing, Gas testing, Disturbance analyzers and transient recorders.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Division Manager, OML138 Development. The Project Cost Accountant/Analyst will participate in the monitoring and evaluation of project performance against approved budgets and outlooks for the current year and Life of Project. The Project Cost Accountant/Analyst will also be the Usan Project Team??s primary point of contact with the Finance and Accounting groups at the Division and Corporate level, preparing monthly accrual estimates, quarterly commitment statements and deferred asset/pre-payment and capital estimates for budgets, outlooks and financial statement input. The Project Cost Accountant/Analyst will work under the day to day direction of the Project Coordinator and work closely with the Project Planning Engineer to conduct general project performance analysis against plans and budgets for cost effective stewardship of Nexen??s investment in the Usan field development project.
Comp Work Statement
This position is eligible for Nexen&apos;s Compressed Work Schedule program (CWS). This program provides flexibility in work hours to assist employees in balancing their work and personal lives. CWS participants work eight hours and 40 minutes per day and earn two Fridays off per month, for a total of 24 days off annually.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly cash call forecasts and accrual estimates for project capital and deferred asset/pre-payment spending;
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual summaries of Capital and G A Costs, Cash Call forecasts and Contingency PAF drawdown/reallocation;
- Liaison with Accounting for reconciliation of Joint Interest Billings (JIB??s);
- Lead role in preparation of annual project budgets, current year outlooks and related presentations;
- Planning of project work breakdown structure and collaboration with the Project Specialist to set up and maintain associated PAF&apos;s within SAP;
- Provision of most project cost related inputs to monthly and quarterly reports including tables, graphs and accompanying notes to provide context and limits;
- Creation of Nexen project cost planning and control processes for the Usan Project for current use and future reference for other deepwater offshore development or projects of a similar nature and scale.
Education/Experience
- Bachelors Degree or Technical College Diploma in Commerce with an Accounting or Finance major;
- A minimum of two years of project accounting and analysis or equivalent experience;
- Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills;
- Ability to work independently and within teams;

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for providing pre and post sales technical support to Direct Sales Channels. Keep up-to-date web content to ensure they reflect the latest news, product information, messaging and positioning
Liaison with our PR agency.
Write press releases and/or collaborate with our PR agency on creation of new releases.
Assist in media relations
