Candidates must have knowledge of standard engineering design concepts, process control, and computer technologies necessary to assimilate data, conduct analyses, develop control logic, etc. Candidates should expect and be able to thrive in a work environment that requires flexibility and continuous change and that provides a multitude of opportunities for continued learning and growth in the industrial controls business.
This position will encompass all aspects of industrial process control project work from engineering estimates to industrial control strategy design and documentation to code implementation to integrated system test to plant site commissioning, all in a team organized, project environment. Significant customer interaction and project team interaction will be required.
Responsibilities will fall in all areas described above as well as in the design of the control system hardware and network necessary to complete the project.
Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal English communication skills are required. Flexibility for possible significant travel is also required, both domestic and/or international, up to approximately 50%. Working knowledge of MS Office products, MS Windows OS, VB6, and XML are also strongly desired. You must be a US citizen for certain assignments due to our customer requirements.

Desired competencies:Knowledgeable of major electrical power and industrial system applications Understanding on the functionalities of Electrical Protection, Control systems, Substation Automation systems and SCADA/RTU systems Familiar with the design, integration, installation and testing of electrical control and protection systems for generation, transmission and distribution systems Comprehends the benefits of modern Substation Automation communication standards and protocols (e.g. IEC 61850, DNP 3.0) Understands ABB and non-ABB protective relay devices and remote terminal units Successfully worked in large matrix organizations and able to work across country boundaries
