About the Position: The U S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, Fort Randall Project is a multi-purpose project providing flood control, recreation, hydropower, water supply, irrigation and wildlife and fisheries benefits to the nation. The hydropower facility includes eight 40 MW generator units. The project employs about 35 employees and is located in South Central South Dakota near the Nebraska border. The nearest larger towns are Mitchell, SD approximately 60 miles away, and Yankton, SD, approximately 70 miles away. There are excellent opportunities for a variety of fishing and hunting in this area.

About the Position: Ft. Peck Proj is located in NE MT, 17 miles SE of Glasgow, MT approx. 300 miles NE of MT&apos;s largest city, Billings (100,000) and 130 miles W of Williston, ND. The 1.1 million-acre Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge completely surrounds the lake. Game species found within the project include mule deer, pronghorn, elk, bighorn sheep, whitetail deer, sage grouse, sharp-tail grouse and waterfowl. Recently constructed are the Fort Peck Dam Interpretive Center   Museum and a new water fish hatchery. Fort Peck Lake is one of Montana&apos;s premier fishing locations. Transportation, schools, housing, etc: Ft. Peck has approx 300 people living in the town. There is a Recreation Hall w/racket ball court, gym   weights. Public transportation includes AMTRAK w/stops in nearby Glasgow   Wolf Point. K-12 schools are located in Glasgow (20 miles away) or Nashua (10 miles away).

About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Programs Center, Winchester VA and is under the supervision of the Director of the Contracting Directorate. This position is located in a typical modern office environment with access to an exercise room. 
Incumbent will be required to travel to third world countries on TDY. TDY will generally be short term, however, there is a possibility that the TDY could last up to 179 days.

About the Position: The Corps of Engineers, while a component of the U.S. Army, is mostly a civilian organization. The Corps works to reduce flood damage in communities across America; improve the environment for fish and wildlife; generate clean, renewable electricity; and provide recreational opportunities. 
The Portland District staff oversees the operation and maintenance of 19 multi-purpose dams in Oregon and a sediment retention structure in southwestern Washington. We also maintain more than 720 miles of federal navigation channels and 33 channel and harbor projects through the use of two government-owned hopper dredges and three hydrographic survey vessels.
