Description:
The contractor will track all customer and management requests for helpdesk assistance, new work orders and requests for new or changing customer IT requirements.
The contractor will record in the helpdesk-tracking tool all pertinent information such as the date, time, details and time to resolve problems for all work requests and will report this information to the government monthly. The contractor will notify the government of all work requests that take longer than 24 hours to resolve.
The contractor will issue a ticket number and date/time stamp to the customer for every request for assistance and provide the customer with an estimated time for resolution.
The contractor will provide phone coverage during normal duty hours (6:00am to 6:00pm) Monday - Friday and will provide on-site support at DSS-HQ.

The contractor will provide support for moving equipment, installing new equipment, installing software and creating/deleting user accounts normally within one day of the users#39; request, consistent with operational exigencies and priorities as outlined by the government.
The contractor will configure workstations as necessary to operate on the network, including the installation of operating systems and application software with the appropriate security settings and patches.
For those locations where the contractor has resident technicians and engineers, the contractor will provide end-user ad hoc training (desk side) for installed applications and operating systems within four hours of the user&apos;s request, consistent with operational exigencies and priorities as outlined by the government.
The contractor will prepare equipment to be shipped to remote locations. Once equipment is relocated, received or excessed, the contractor will update the inventory accordingly. The contractor will compile and record this information so it can be tracked in such a manner as to allow the government to receive exports in .csv format.
The contractor will coordinate Time and Materials (TM) and warranty repairs. The contractor understands that they will not be authorizing repairs and that the government already has a maintenance contract in place. The contractor will only be responsible for coordination.

Description:
Candidate should be familiar with installation, configuration and management of Dell Servers, network utilities, Microsoft Exchange Servers, and *managed* anti-virus servers. Candidate must have a working knowledge of active directory and Veritas Backup Exec. Candidate should possess sound system troubleshooting techniques and computer system maintenance skills. Candidate must be an innovative troubleshooter and able to perform a breakdown and setup of networked system.
Canidate will perform daily management of site computer systems such as user administration, backup, and user accounts management. Enforce server and workstation configuration standards. Administer UNIX and Microsoft NT servers supporting Internet, email, and video teleconferencing services. Administer user account information, performance monitoring/tuning, data backups and restoration, system and network troubleshooting. 
Insure computer servers and workstations operate at optimal performance and capacity: configure routers, gateway protocols, and multiple local area networks (LAN) and wide areas network (WAN) topologies such as bridges, token rings point to point, fiber optic, thinnet, and thicknet applications. Monitor all networks using network management software (e.g., HP Open View). Plan and install operating system and application software upgrades and enhancements. Test, install, and maintain software tools and utilities. Provide customer service to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Candidate will be PCS*d for one year and expected to provide shift support up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and willing to work in hazardous areas.
When not deploying, the candidate will be part of 22 person team providing remote customer support to remote field sites.
Special experience/skills required: Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory/Domain Management. Candidate should hold an MCP in Windows 2000 / XP A+ or Network+ Certification. Candidates should be knowledgeable with various Microsoft products and MCSA or MCSE will be given preference. Comms and LINUX experience a plus but not a requirement for this position. Knowledge of security operations such as security safeguards administration, access filter definition, and penetration testing.
Requires bachelor*s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) and seven to nine years of related experience. Military background preferred.

Candidate should be familiar with installation, configuration and management of Dell Servers, network utilities, Microsoft Exchange Servers, and *managed* anti-virus servers. Candidate must have a working knowledge of active directory and Veritas Backup Exec. Candidate should possess sound system troubleshooting techniques and computer system maintenance skills. Candidate must be an innovative troubleshooter and able to perform a breakdown and setup of networked system.
Canidate will perform daily management of site computer systems such as user administration, backup, and user accounts management. Enforce server and workstation configuration standards. Administer UNIX and Microsoft NT servers supporting Internet, email, and video teleconferencing services. Administer user account information, performance monitoring/tuning, data backups and restoration, system and network troubleshooting. 
Insure computer servers and workstations operate at optimal performance and capacity: configure routers, gateway protocols, and multiple local area networks (LAN) and wide areas network (WAN) topologies such as bridges, token rings point to point, fiber optic, thinnet, and thicknet applications. Monitor all networks using network management software (e.g., HP Open View). Plan and install operating system and application software upgrades and enhancements. Test, install, and maintain software tools and utilities. Provide customer service to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Candidate will be PCS*d for one year and expected to provide shift support up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and willing to work in hazardous areas.
When not deploying, the candidate will be part of 22 person team providing remote customer support to remote field sites.
Special experience/skills required: Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory/Domain Management. Candidate should hold an MCP in Windows 2000 / XP A+ or Network+ Certification. Candidates should be knowledgeable with various Microsoft products and MCSA or MCSE will be given preference. Comms and LINUX experience a plus but not a requirement for this position. Knowledge of security operations such as security safeguards administration, access filter definition, and penetration testing.
Requires bachelor*s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) and seven to nine years of related experience. Military background preferred.
Must possess TS/SCI clearance with FS PG.

With a wide range of knowledge, designs, installs, and maintains the network system and coordinates its use. Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks. Manages network performance. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Maintains, create/deletes user accounts, maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms. Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards. Enforces security procedures. Schedules the Network Technician staff and trains users. Requires bachelor&apos;s degree (in Computer Science or Management Information Systems) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related (data center environment) experience.
