                        <description><![CDATA[Business Planning and Analysis, Analyst 3 (The Student Loan Corporation in Stamford, CT): Lead and guide the development, automation and roll out of sales organization and business analytical and reporting tools. Ensure analytical and reporting tools capture measurements of activities. Lead, manage, deliver and monitor customer relationship management (CRM) enhancements and high-quality loan   application volume reporting processes. Coordinate, lead, and implement effective and fluid annual sales strategies   tactics, volume planning, and territory management processes, using market dynamics and competitive landscape. Prepare strategic presentations for senior management. Ensure efficient administration of budget goals across all levels within the organization. Set up effective and timely reporting processes. Pioneer the maintenance, streamlining, and re-engineering of sales and business processes. Identify areas for improvement, make recommendations, and ensure their implementation. Act as a key point of contact in the management of data related to sales strategies, market measure, and sales territories. Spearhead strategic and ad hoc analysis of market measure, sales activities, school customer, and loan volume information. Coordinate with and lead medium to large cross-functional business teams and undertake independent and team-based initiatives to provide strategic and market advantages to the sales force. Develop, implement and manage incentive compensation plans that motivate the sales force as well as align their interests with the objectives of senior management. Establish a process to allow the sales force to handle such requests and provide the necessary upfront training to ensure the successful rollout of such a process. Ensure the groupâs compliance with all applicable internal policies and procedures, including risk identification and control implementation and testing. Manage opportunistic purchases and/or sales of student loan assets to other lenders, including financial analysis, deal structuring and due diligence. Financial analysis would require management of SLCâs pricing model as well as close coordination with cross-functional teams (e.g., Credit, Legal, Finance, Operations) to determine the most appropriate modeling assumptions. Identify transactional risks and the mitigation of such risks through the appropriate contractual and operational controls. Lead the development and implementation of cross-functional initiatives, transactions and analysis focused on building the wholesale student loan asset channel across multiple business units including credit, legal, finance, and operations. Manage all aspects of the channelâs pricing model including working with cross-functional teams to assemble the appropriate modeling assumptions, determine the most suitable transaction structure, review the pricing results with the finance department, and obtain executive pricing approval. Participate in the due diligence process for new clients focusing on the identification of transactional risks and the mitigation of such risks through the appropriate contractual and operational controls. Manage channel volume forecasting, profitability analysis, and reporting for consumer lending operations designed to concisely and effectively communicate channel strategy and results to senior management utilizing Excel, Access, SQL, Visual Basic, and database modeling tools. Ensure channel compliance with all applicable internal policies and procedures, including risk identification and control implementation and testing.
Requires a Bachelorâs Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in business development and/or finance in support of consumer lending operations. All stated experience must include the following: financial analysis for consumer lending utilizing Excel, Access, SQL, Visual Basic, and database modeling; management of cross-functional projects across multiple business units including credit, legal, finance and operations; development and management of pricing and forecasting models; expense management and budgeting for a medium to large department; and audit and risk control experience.
