As we continue to grow, so do our staffing needs.â World Avenue is seeking the following:
Must stay up to date with all rules, regulations and industry best practices of the e-mail industry and work within those parameters to deliver e-mails to our customers.
Must stay up to date on the latest e-mail technologies, QMail and methods for successful deployment of e-mail.
Must be able to track mailerâs clickthrough, open rates and deliverability.
This is a hands-on technology position.
This is not a project management or a business position. 
Supports tests of email advertisements and promotional pieces to evaluate quality, accuracy and deliverability.
Knowledge of Database systems for targeting is essential. 
Assists Email Analyst in developing and communicating best practices and enforcing Can-Spam compliance with the goal of maximizing delivery to the inbox.
Other duties that are within education and experience or the incumbent may be assigned for the betterment of the company.
Familiarity with email industry issues around email deliverability, anti-spam initiatives, email authentication and other industry initiatives such as SPF, SenderID and DomainKeys
5 â 7 years of email operation experience required. Additionally, must have experience including involvement with deliverability analysis, email marketing best practices and Can-Spam compliance.

Summary
World Avenue is looking for a Director to lead the LAMP System Administrator team. The Director is a hands on role and will encompasses managing the implementation and support of all aspects of the Production infrastructure. This person will direct the performance of 5-7 technical support, systems administration staff. The ideal candidate will have a progressive career in IT and demonstrate current proficiency regarding LAMP technologies. The position requires a wide range of skills that encompass every area of Information Technology up to and including Cloud Computing however the primary duties will be heavily geared towards Linux. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ambition to problem-solve, learn and create their own mechanisms for resolving issues and most importantly, communicate effectively and be able to work in a team environment. 
Essential Duties   Responsibilities
*Works with IT Executive peers and managers to determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs. Ensures that the organizations* needs are met and establishes technology strategy and standards. 
*Directs the Technical Operations staff to include hiring, work allocation, scheduling, training and professional development, problem resolution, performance evaluation and related activities. Maintains budgetary responsibility for the department. 
*Directs all Data Center operations, server, and security systems, including ongoing performance monitoring and tuning, hardware and software platform upgrades. 
*Performs system administration functions including new system configuration, software installations, code deployments and pro-active system monitoring and maintenance. 
*Provide daily reports and status updates on incidents and projects. 
*Handles backup and recovery as well as disaster recovery procedures. 
*Other duties that are within education and experience or the incumbent may be assigned for the betterment of the company. 
Job Specifications
*Strong use of Project Management concepts and ability to instill these practices within the organization. 
*Create, define and successfully implement processes and procedures to effectively manage the Service Delivery organization; successfully establish measures of *Operational Excellence* 
*Strategic as well as detail oriented 
*Willing to be hands on when necessary to troubleshoot and resolve issues, especially in critical situations, and work the hours necessary to get the job done 
*Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under daily deadlines 
*5-7 years real world experience in Red Hat or CentOS Linux administration or any other comparable version of UNIX in a service provider environment. 
*3-5 years real world experience with mass server deployment tools and server virtualization technologies. High volume Web transactions processing.
*Must be able to work independently. 
*Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
*Incident management skills. 
*Excellent time management. 
*A sense of urgency and responsibility for following through. 
*Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills. 
*Must have valid US Passport and able to travel abroad on short notice. 
Education and/or Experience
Relevant BS degree from four-year college or university; and minimum 5-7 years experience in Linux and network systems support and 1-3 years of databases support.

We seek an MYSQL Database Administrator to join our system administration team. The DBA is responsible for the database design and implementation.
This full time immediately available position represents a newly-created, mission-critical function that will offer the opportunity to make an impact as the Company continues on its rapid-growth tract. 
The DBA will be involved in application development projects to evolve our database architecture and design. The DBA will monitor database operations, analyze and respond to performance and other maintenance issues. The DBA will have a technical hands on   Project Administration role, including inventorying   documenting forms, reports, notice etc. Participate in the creation of development, staging   production database instances, and the migration of those instances from one environment to another. Responsible for all the performance tuning of the staging and production database instances. Assists with complex query development. Individual must demonstrate exceptional SQL programming skills to perform data troubleshooting and data manipulation tasks. Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems in person, over the phone, or via email. Solid understanding and experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Data profiling, meta data analysis, Data Modeling, and relational schema design.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 4+ years Experience in MYSQL. 
* Advanced Knowledge of database design and SQL
* Administering of InnoDB and MyISAM table types
* Experience with MYSQL replication
* Experience with multi-master clustering (HA) a plus
* Experience with MYSQL performance tuning and optimization. (query optimization, index tuning, caching and buffer tuning)
* Experience with backup and recovery process
* Knowledge/experience creating automated reports using perl a plus
* Candidate must have hands on experience in Linux and UNIX
* Strong communication skills are necessary for interaction with other teams and departments
* BS in Computer Science or related field
Other responsibilities include:
* Position is for a production DBA, NOT A DEVELOPER.
* Install, configure, manage and maintain multiple 100&apos;s of gig MYSQL databases.
* Managing Memory, CPU and I/O performance as well as assuring database health.
* Perform appropriate back-up, restoration and upgrades of our servers
