GENCO has an immediate opening for a Day Shift Supervisor at our Return Center located in Rexdale, Ontario. The facility is a 160,000+ square feet, three shift operation and employs 48 plus employees.
The position is responsible for:
Hiring, training, coaching and developing Teammates. Assuring attainment of Facility production, quality and safety objectives. 
Facilitating regular safety meetings and assuring the maintenance of a safe work environment. 
Preparing and reconciling required production and inventory reports. 
Ensuring full adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. 
Overseeing process improvement implementations, monitoring and facilitating all continuous improvement within the facility, resource assignment, and implementation scheduling, and monitoring to ensure all deliverables are met. 
Using analysis to develop and recommend improvements for operations, including cost reduction, service improvement, etc. 
Developing processes and related tools to support the operation. 
Developing continuous improvement initiatives including evaluation of current operations, data analysis and implementation of recommended solutions. 
Organizing and prioritizing work for his/her Team. 
Coordinating activities with all other departments. 
Communicating Facility objectives and performance expectations to the Teammates. 
Providing assistance to the Operations Manager on special projects as required. 
Other duties as assigned and required.
The successful candidate will have:
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a Supervisory/leadership role, preferred. 
Ability to lead and manage a team to develop and implement process changes. 
Intermediate computer skills (Excel / Word) With moderate level of experience with MS Access, preferred. 
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
Prior experience of 6 Sigma, Lean, and/or TQM initiatives. 
Excellent Teammate Relations skills. 
Must be professional and strive to offer outstanding Customer service. 
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, Teammates, and Customers. 
Ability to lead and manage a team to develop and implement improvement initiatives.
