                        <description><![CDATA[Associate Geospatial Analyst     United States Jobs    ProhireAssociate Geospatial Analyst GeoeyeAssociate Geospatial Analyst St  Louis  Missouri Job ID  536294Last Updated  November 20  2008 Description  JOB SUMMARY Under close supervision  process satellite and aerial image data into high quality digital image products using the latest technology and equipment  Assemble  order  evaluate and catalogue input imagery and ancillary data  Measure tie and ground points from digital images and source maps  Generate  analyze and edit digital elevation data from stereo images  Perform radiometric balancing  orthorectification  and mosaicking on images for the production of seamless image products  Perform land use and land cover classification and other thematic maps from multispectral images  Perform feature extraction from stereo image pairs  Perform Quality Control functions for each production task  Routine duties with improvisation on isolated problems  â Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written  verbal or diagram form  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations  RESPONSIBILITIES 1  Ingest of Satellite and Aerial Imagery  2  Performs processes associated with Block Triangulations  Orthomosaic Production  Digital Elevation Data Extraction and Feature Extraction Products  3  Performs Quality Control functions for each production task  4  Performs related duties as assigned WRITTEN AND VERBAL CONTACT Interacts with internal and external employees on the same level  EDUCATION A Bachelors Degree  BA BS  in Engineering  Geology or Geography  Cartography  Surveying  Photogrammetry  Remote Sensing or equivalent experience is required  A Bachelors Degree  BA BS  or equivalent experience is preferred  EXPERIENCE No experience required  COMPUTER EXPERIENCE Knowledge of Word  Excel  Windows and CAD required  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires sitting  The ability to lift up to 40 pounds is desired  Ability to see Satellite and Aerial Imagery in stereo is preferred â this is needed during Digital Elevation Data Extraction and Feature Data Extraction  The work environment has moderate noise  Must be able to obtain a U S  Security Clearance  DISCLAIMER The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification  It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties  responsibilities  and qualifications required of employees assigned to this job  Apply Now Send To Friend  5   1 Prohire by Country     Prohire by State                                                                                                                ]]></description>
