                        <description><![CDATA[The Product Manager - New Product Development will be responsible for driving priority projects through the NPD tollgate process. This position is accountable for bringing new products to market (1) on-spec to achieve sales targets outline (2) on-time and (3) on-budget for both development costs and product cost target. The Product Manager will be heavily involved up front with the customer, and will have experience in leading cross functional teams in bringing new products to market. Strong engineering foundation in New Product Development is a key. The ability to put a business case together is also an essential part of this role.
- Drive priority projects through the NPD tollgate process, coordinating efforts through Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and service organizations. - Develop and manage detailed project action plan, identify and resolve all related issues.
- Develop product roadmaps and market strategy within a given segment, through extensive market analysis and VOC analysis.
- Work with the global Sales and Marketing team to understand Customer buying behaviors and value drivers.
- Work with the Engineering team to develop detailed new product specifications that support the business case requirements.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and prevent product problems before they occur.
- Work with Operations and Supply Chain organizations to implement a production and supply chain model that supports the business case requirements.
- Work with the Service organization to develop and implement the product&apos;s service strategy.
- Lead Customer validation sessions throughout the NPD tollgate process to assure the Customer value drivers are being met.
- Lead Customer field trials; resolve hardware and software related issues. 
- Oversee documentation preparation process to meet training, service and operational requirements.
- Bachelor&apos;s degree in a technically related field (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 5+ years of proven hands-on experience applying project management and leadership skills, delivering hardware-related projects on-time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. 
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions
- Excellent teamwork and communications with customers, customer service and associates.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Intimate knowledge and use history of Microsoft Project.
- Operations leadership experience preferred.

- Analysis of water, sanitary, stormwater management systems performance 
- Municipal water resource system modeling using current hydrological/hydraulic simulation tools such as XP-SWMM, DDSWMM, SWMHYMO, H20Map Water, HEC-RAS, etc. 
- Technical supervision of model development and calibration by junior / intermediate staff 
- Assessment of functional alternatives within a Class Environmental Assessment framework 
- Stormwater management investigations including water quality and quantity controls 
- Watershed / flood control studies 
- Pollution control planning studies 
- Conceptual layouts / preliminary design of water resources facilities 
- Participating effectively on detailed municipal infrastructure design assignments 
- Preparation of reports and proposals
- An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university 
- Post-graduate degree in water resources will be considered an asset 
- A registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario 
- 10+ years experience in municipal water resources and stormwater management
- Working knowledge of GIS technology and ability to effectively supervise GIS staff

- Monitor expenditures compared to budgets and alert management of variances
- Support the project and administrative staff regarding time charges, labor billing rates, and billing of expenses
- Oversee approvals documentation (billing rates, task orders, etc.) to verify accuracy of scope, budgets, rates and coding
- Ensure the accurate completion of administration tasks as they relate to the Project
- Monitor the development and administration of sub-consultant agreements by project and administrative staff, with respect to authorization, approvals, agreements, invoices and payments
- Ensure all project controls documentation is filed accurately and logically
- 5+ years experience with project controls and program management systems 
- 5+ years of experience with engineering and construction projects
