Job Summary:
The Applications Developer Analyst will participate as an individual contributor to J2EE projects developed within a service-oriented architecture. Responsibilities include working on various initiatives, mainly focusing on financial applications, estimating timelines, and requirement discovery and coding. Projects will use both traditional &apos;Waterfall&apos; methodology and &apos;Agile&apos; SW development practices that employ SCRUM techniques. 
Main Accountabilities 
Developing server-side code for internal web applications. 
Performing component testing of software using unit testing frameworks and working with other development team members as well as QA Analysts to resolve defects. 
Following a software development methodology through all phases of work for new development and maintenance. 
Communicating with management regularly on progress of active projects, adhering to reasonable and agreed upon time lines. 
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have Java web development experience using Java Enterprise Edition technologies and will be knowledgeable in modern software design practices, including the use of design patterns in addition to being proficient with SQL and relational database design fundamentals. 
Must have experience on at least one full project life cycle of a large software development project. 
BA/BS degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in CS, IT, or any Computational Sciences field of study. Chemistry, Physics, Math accepted and 3 to 5 years progressive experience in any related occupation developing applications with J2EE technologies. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience accepted. 
Experience with XML, EJB, Hibernate, MS SQL, Weblogic is a plus.

ITC is currently seeking a Lead Data Warehouse Engineer The Lead Warehouse Engineer is part of a small Warehouse team. 
The Data Warehouse is a critical component of the overall technology architecture at our Client&apos;s location. This engineer will act as the technical lead/architect of the 12 terabyte data warehouse system. This position requires that the engineer roll up their sleeves and write code. This is NOT a design and blue sky only role.

Responsibilities: 
Technical direction for the following warehouse systems 
Core relational warehouse database 
Microsoft Analysis Services 
Microsoft Reporting Services

Leading and mentoring other members of the team

Desired Experience
Requirements: 
BS in Computer Science or equivalent (MS a plus) 
3+ years of experience on SQL Server 2000/2005. Experience with other relational databases is a plus. 
Warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, star schema 
2+ years of experience with very large data warehouses including design and tuning 
SQL Server Analysis Services - 2005 OLAP experience including design and deployment of complex cubes 
Proficiency in Transact-SQL (SQL Server 2005 specific), complex queries, stored procedures, functions and other related system objects 
Proficiency in SQL tuning, understanding optimization (index types, search arguments, covered indexes, etc.) 
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

REPORTS TO: Service Center Production Support Director 
ROLE DESCRIPTION: 
1. The candidate will have experience in the domains of Software Release Management and the configuration of Production Environments. 
2. The candidate will have experience in managing Production Deployments; will supervise the deployment life-cycle of Distributed Computing Enterprise 
applications. 
3. The candidate will continuously seek to optimize Distributed Computing processes to support the release of Enterprise Applications into Sun Life 
Production Environments. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: 
Software Release Management 
1. Promote the code-baseline of our J2EE Enterprise Applications, in conformance to Sun Life promotion procedures and using Source Control 
Management (SCM) technologies in place. 
2. Regulate and Track the promotion of code-baselines in our SCM repositories and development branches. 
3. Preferably shows experience in supporting parallel developments and multiple configuration environments. 
4. Coordinate Developers to resolve merge conflicts. Work with Database Administrators and Quality Engineers to synchronize database schemas, sets of test data with various staging environments. 
5. Administrate our SCM system, creating new user accounts, adding and deleting projects and folders, modifying workflow and notification items. 
6. The candidate will have experience and exposure to continuous integration builds. 
Staging and Production Deployment 
1. Build and Deploy our Enterprise Applications from our SCM repositories into Sun Life various staging environments. 
2. Regulate and Track the deployment life-cycle of our Enterprise Applications. 
3. Troubleshoot build and deployment problems in the staging environments of Sun Life Financial in collaboration with all Development stakeholders. 
4. Coordinate the deployment of Distributed Computing applications into Sun Life staging environments. 
5. Set-up new staging environments, related configurations and sets of test data. 
6. Liaise with IT management and system administration groups. Participate in planning and scheduling the rollout of our Enterprise Applications. 
Release Process Management 
1. Maintain consistency between all our code-baselines and staging environments. 
2. Setup controls that ensure the efficient tracking of the changes going into the versions of our Enterprise Applications. 
3. Record and accurately report the status of Promotion requests, gathering statistics about files affected in the promotion of our code-baselines. 
4. Act as Distributed Computing Release Authority by ensuring that Sun Life promotion procedures and deployment life-cycle model is understood and 
applied by all. 
Qualifications:
Qualification Level: Business, Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience. 
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years&apos; experience as Build and Release Engineer with demonstrated skills of managing multiple projects, ideally involving web-based Enterprise-level technologies (J2EE). 
Other Skills: The ideal candidate would have experience using BEA WebLogic and CVS or Subversion to manage the source code files used to build J2EE applications. Experience in technologies and tools such as BEA Weblogic, CVS version control, Ant build tool, JUnit framework, shell and TCL scripting. Other tools include CruiseControl, Javadoc and Checkstyle.
