                        <description><![CDATA[Research Analyst - Fixed Income, MBS Professional 
ROLE PURPOSE:
Working with portfolio managers and senior analysts to analyze investment opportunities within Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS). The focus will primarily be on RMBS. Performs micro and macro analysis with a focus on portfolio positioning consistent with macro economic views with a focus on prepayment and interest rate risk for agency MBS. Prepares relative value view points for his/her respective issuers and sectors/asset types, as well as communication (verbal   written) of credit/equity research opinions to the asset management group that include buy/hold/sell recommendations. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
â¢ Works closely with portfolio managers to evaluate investment opportunities
â¢ Conducts thorough and detailed analyses of companies in assigned sector, maintains sophisticated and complex models, and may formulate buy/sell recommendations.
â¢ Develops and maintains information on credit ratings of corporate, agency, municipal, state, and/or federal fixed-income issuers. 
â¢ Analyzes classes of securities, market trends, yield and duration relationships and pricing trends.
â¢ Analyzes balance sheets, operating statements, budgets and respective sector/industry dynamics. 
â¢ Assesses fundamental credit profiles and pricing levels. 
â¢ Manipulates and analyzes data using MS Excel, Bloomberg and other analytical tools
â¢ Develops a relative value opinion for the issuers and a weighting recommendation for the sectors within his/her space. 
â¢ Writes analysis for new purchases, complete risk assessments when required, and writes periodic comments on events that have an impact on his/her respective coverage responsibilities. 
â¢ Maintains all pertinent files, as well as specific issuer   security information in the portfolio accounting system for bonds/equities under his/her coverage.
â¢ May present research findings and buy/sell recommendations to Portfolio Managers, Management, and other Research Analysts.
â¢ Applies understanding of the investment guidelines with regards to credit for the portfolios that the firm manages.
OTHER FUNCTIONS: Assumes additional duties as requested or assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Often manages more junior research staff, educate team on global issues
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS   ABILITIES:

â¢ Solid understanding of fixed income relative value analysis
â¢ Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for compliance review and principal approval of firm advertising and sales literature for products and strategies distributed by Janusâs broker-dealer, Janus Distributors LLC, and investment adviser, Janus Capital Management, LLC in accordance with SEC and FINRA regulations and Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPSÂ®). Must have proven working knowledge and experience in applying investment company and investment adviser advertising regulations to marketing and sales communications. Coordinate compliance review and approval of public-, institutional- and broker/dealer-use sales literature including but not limited to web content, pitch books, brochures, magazine advertisements and fact sheets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works as liaison, establishing and maintaining high-quality, professional relationships with internal customers.

                        <description><![CDATA[Janus Job TitleLocationDate PostedClient Relations Manager  TokyoTokyo27 May 08Requirements JANUSROLE SUMMARYCORPORATE TITLE  Client Service Rep COMMON TITLE  Client Relations ManagerDEPARTMENT  Global Client Management REVISED DATE  08FLSA  Non Exempt LOCATION  JapanROLE PURPOSE Responsible for performing a variety of routine activities as directed related to client acquisition  client servicing and administrative support services for existing and new clients  The type of support varies and may include  delivering basic performance data  delivering analytical materials used during client reviews  coordinating preparation of client marketing materials  coordinating client meetings with Sales staff  coordinating administrative activities with internal staff   initiating client contact to address servicing needs  and resolving routine administrative and operational problems  Works under the supervision of the Client Relations Director ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Act as primary point of contact for existing clients as well as primary contact for client issues  Manage communication process by gathering prospective clients business requirements and transmitting them to internal counterparties  Manage client communication regarding internal support requirements to clients ensuring quality customer service  Responsible for maintaining the CRM database for Tokyo clients  including documentation and recording of all client interactions  may include Sales Office interactions  and updating of client information  Assist in establishing internal policies and procedures when requested  Assists in coordinating the preparation of client materials  which may include routing items for legal compliance review  maintaining marketing calendars  coordinating distributions and mailings  maintaining marketing supply inventory  and preparing client reports and statements  Researches and resolves routine customer problems following established procedures  Assists with departmental projects as requested  Liaise with counterparts in the US  London and Hong Kong  Assist with and attend client meetings as requested OTHER FUNCTIONS  Assumes additional responsibilities as requested or assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  NoneQUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE  SKILLS   ABILITIES  Fluent in written and spoken Japanese  Excellent communications skills  A good level of English writing and reading comprehension as well as a good level of spoken English Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of the Japanese asset management industry preferred Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS Word  Excel  and PowerPoint with the expectation of learning various CRM tools  EXPERIENCE  Experience in an institutional client relations account management role or sales support sales assistant role in the asset management industry  Relevant experience in the securities or banking industry is also acceptable  Project management   project coordination experience preferred  Client issue resolution experience preferred MINIMUM EDUCATION  TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS  Undergraduate Degree WORKING ENVIRONMENT PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES  Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening  weekend  and holiday hours Typical office environment with telephone  copier  fax machine  etc  PC usage up to 75% of the time Travel including client meetings up to 25% of the time Existing Profile If you ve previously created a profile  enter your e mail address and password below  E mailPassword Create Profile If you experience technical issues  please send an with the error message  your operating system  for example  Windows XP or Mac OS X  and your browser version  for example  Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1 5  ]]></description>
