The Senior Process Chemical Engineer will serve as a recognized expert in a specialized field responsible for major and complex assignments with long term business implications. 
The Senior Process Chemical Engineer will have the chief responsibility for the design and specification of proprietary industrial evaporators and crystallizers, as well as ancillary and auxiliary systems. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
&apos; Recommending different approaches to meet the technical and program requirements for projects. Responsible for the overall development of Process Flow Diagrams(PFD), heat and mass balances, P ID&apos;S Designs, and planning measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and pilot plant operations. 
&apos; Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound chemical engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product requirements.
&apos; Serve as a key point of contact for commercial teams in assessing opportunities and developing bid proposals as well as for the project management and engineering teams in developing solutions to wastes at the project start up phases (includes travel to job site).
&apos; Participate as a reviewer and/or presenter in technical and program review.
&apos; Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with chemical engineering policies and procedures. 
&apos; Provide technical guidance to junior chemical engineers in the design of crystallizers and evaporators; mentor others in organization.
&apos; Ability to communicate with cross-functional personnel in various roles; including chemical engineers, legal, procurement, technology, process, and corporate executives
Candidates applying to this position should have:
&apos; A Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering 
&apos; Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of evaporators and crystallizers.

Kelly Engineering Resources is recruiting for an Entry Level Kaizen Industrial Engineer to work for a leading automotive products company in the Los Angeles area. This is a direct hire opportunity. This is a hands on more labor work than machines, heavy process improvement.
The Kaizen Industrial Engineer will Design and install improvement to integrated systems of manpower, materials, tooling and machines, utilizing principles of lean manufacturing in an automotive component remanufacturing environment.
Utilize experience and skills in the physical and social sciences combined with principles of methods and standards engineering, to specify, predict and evaluate the results from system enhancements.
Typical duties of the position include.
- Develop and maintain a complete standard database applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain plant and work place layouts. Must have MTM (machine time measurement), group time studies, space utilization and plant layout.
- Assist production management in developing direct and indirect labor work loads as required to meet production demands.
- Assist production management in implementing methods and production concepts, employing Kaizen principles of engineering throughout the manufacturing process.
- Analyze production machinery and tooling for proper application and operation.
- Assist production management in analyzing quality problems to reduce product rejects and scrap. 
- Design, publish and maintain an effective performance-to-standard measurement system. 
- Assist in the development of a standard cost system.
- Assist in the design of manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
- Assist in the collection of data required to support equipment justification proposals.
- Working under minimal supervision
- Special projects as assigned.
Skills/Education/Experience needed 
- Proficient in both direct and indirect work measurement (time studies).
- Must be creative and proficient in the development of manufacturing systems, methods, tools and fixtures.
- Ability to create engineering drawings using AutoCAD or Solidworks.
- Must be proficient in the use of basic Microsoft programs.
- Spanish speaking skills desirable.
- B.S. in Industrial Engineering with 2- 4 years experience 
- MTM or Work Measurement certification a plus
- High volume automotive type assembly lines and line balancing with emphasis in Methods improvements utilizing Kaizen techniques.
