                        <description><![CDATA[Minimum Requirements of Employer:
Good communication, flexibility, interpersonal relations and customer service skills. Ability to work in a team environment with a diverse staff. 
Able to support the department, Dental School and University mission and values required.
Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. 
Able to push loaded instrument case carts in excess of 75 lbs. 
Knowledge of instrument tracking systems helpful.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Under the direction of the Central Sterilization Director and/or Supervisor, performs effective and efficient customer service by maintaining quality and aseptic control procedures including decontamination, processing, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of sterile instruments, equipment and supplies. 
Essential Functions Perform all duties associated with the decontamination, packaging, sterilization and distribution of dental instruments and supplies based upon the standards and principles for accepted practice in Health Care. Basic care of automated and manual equipment used for decontamination and sterilization. Complete testing and record keeping for regulatory agencies and protocols for the Marquette University School of Dentistry. Interact with faculty, staff and students in a professional, efficient and effective manner. 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Decontamination of dental instruments and equipment. 
2. Inspection, assembly, packaging and labeling of instruments and equipment. 
3. Sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. 
4. Testing and record keeping in compliance with AAMI, OSHA, FDA, and CDC guidelines. 
5. Distribution of instruments, equipment and supplies. 
6. Perform any and all related duties as required as assigned.
