System design reviews and technical interchange meetings 6  Track software discrepancies and hardware deficiencies until they are corrected Job Duties and Responsibilities The on site RSSA Junior Professional provides general knowledge for many and detailed knowledge of some activities in the RSSA section of the WSPEC contract per the approved CWBS  as detailed below Requirement Analysis 1  Participate in scheduled program reviews and conduct independent analyses and evaluations to ensure that all applicable requirements are included in the developing agency s acquisition program  2  Support the decomposition of requirements from the system specification to the product specification  3  Participate in and provide both technical and editorial input to the documentation of the development of new and tailored requirements  4  Support the development of  and maintain requirements traceability matrices  Development Analysis 1  Participate in scheduled design reviews and technical interchange meetings  2  Support the conduct of independent analyses and evaluations to ensure that 30 SW requirements are included in the developer s specifications  3  Support the analysis of the Hardware Configuration Item Computer Software Configuration Item  HWCI CSCI  specifications to determine the impact on the system level requirements Test and Evaluation Analysis 1  Participate in requirement validation processes including testing  inspection  demonstration  analysis and reviews  2  Support the analysis of test plan  test procedures and testing to ensure verification of safety requirements  3  Assist in the development of  and conduct testing to investigate potential anomalies or operational performance as directed by the Government  4 Assist in the documentation of all inadequacies of the testing and deficiencies encountered during the testing  including faults and failures  and proposed solutions or mitigationsAnomaly Reporting 1  Report all anomalies that affect the Range Safety systems or subsystems throughout the development and operational implementation process  Notify the cognizant Advanced Professional within 4 hours of becoming aware of any range safety critical system anomalies  Assist in the development of a draft anomaly report for delivery to the RSSA governmental technical representative within 10 days of becoming aware of any anomaly involving a range safety critical system 2  Assist in the generation of Anomaly Reports  AR s  for   a  Hardware software single points of failures that inhibits the system to function as designed   b  Configuration items anomalies assessed during test and evaluation of test articles that are not representative of the final delivered configuration  and  c  Design deficiencies that present a risk to safety and other anomalous conditions commensurate with the safety and or mission criticality of the hardware software under investigation 3  Using 30 SW defined categories  assist in the prioritization of anomalies  by severity and probability for system level and hardware subsystem anomalies  and by severity and software control level for all software subsystems   Systems Operational Acceptance Support 1  Participate in the developer s test and evaluation to support assessment of new and modified 30 SW operational and range systems hardware and software to meet operational capability requirements  2  Assist in the preliminary assessment of the developers and other agencies documentation data provided to support system acceptance decisions  3  Assist in the development of briefings and written reports as required to support the certification process  4  Assist in the submittal of the RS or DR  with the supporting AR s  for the Government ReqView database  RSSA Data 1  Provide technical and editorial review of all WSPEC CDRLs  as defined in the associated DIDs  Assist in the incorporation of customer draft comments 2  Archive RSSA CDRLs  technical reports  specifications  test procedures  and anomaly resolutions in the WSPEC Database or library throughout the life of the affected system  For unresolved anomalies include pending resolutions  pending actions  and expected resolution dates for each anomaly report  For all resolved anomalies include documentation with supporting rationale for the resolution of each anomaly report  and mitigating factors for anomalies where the government has accepted the risk 3  Retrieve and route RSSA reports and support information to the requestor via electronic means QualificationsQualifications 1  Extensive knowledge of RSSA process and tools  RSS components  e g  batteries  receivers  transponders  telemetry  GPS receivers translators and ordnance  and environmental testing  e g  thermal  shock  and random vibration   2  General knowledge of industry standard Higher Order Languages  safety critical software requirements and practices  and assembly
